The Soil Management Lab participated in the Hort, Hops, and Crops Field Day at the East Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center. This new event featured talks, exhibits, and tours highlighting horticulture, turfgrass, hops, and organic agriculture.
Dr. Ravi Teja Reddy Neelipally presented on our ongoing organic grain systems project during the tour of the Organic Crops Unit, sharing insights on double cropping and soil health with producers and stakeholders. After the field day, the lab hosted the Caney Fork Farm team for a tour of our facilities. With many ongoing collaborations on organic and regenerative agriculture, it was a great opportunity to showcase the science behind the soil health metrics we measure while also exploring new ideas and future directions.
We were proud to represent the lab at this exciting UTIA field event and to strengthen our partnership with our collaborators.
