The Soil Management Lab has initiated a new field experiment to study the complex biogeochemical interactions of carbon, nitrogen, and manganese in agricultural systems. This week, the team successfully installed pore water sampling devices (lysimeters) under ideal weather conditions. Dr. Sindhu Jagadamma also joined the field installation, underscoring her hands-on leadership in advancing the lab’s research program.
We extend our thanks to Dr. Elizabeth Herndon for training the group on lysimeter installation and for her invaluable collaboration. Special appreciation goes to Dr. Rachel Wooliver and Dr. Arjun Chhetri for their hard work in the field. This project is supported by the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture.
