Masters student Cecilia Albert-Black and PhD students Binsiya Kallingal and Ravi Teja Neelipally attended the 2024 Soil and Water Conservation Society Annual Meeting. Here are a few highlights from their trip:

Cecilia was awarded first place for the poster competition, presenting results on soil organic carbon accumulation in a temperate agroforestry system. Cecilia also secured her own travel funds through UTK’s Graduate Student Senate.

Binsiya presented a poster on soil health impacts of different methods of native warm-season grass establishment.

Ravi Teja completed an oral presentation on the impact of conservation tillage on soil health in organic grain systems. Further, Ravi Teja and Dr. Jagadamma were recognized by the Society for their efforts serving on the Science and Policy Committee, being awarded the Chair’s Leadership Award.

Congratulations Cecilia, Binsiya, and Ravi Teja on your successful trip and your fantastic research and service!
