Congratulations to Cecilia Albert-Black on successfully defending her Master’s thesis! Cecilia’s research focused on strategies to increase soil organic carbon and improve soil health in organic production systems. Her first study on soil carbon accumulation in organic agroforestry systems is soon to be published, and she has already earned two national awards for her research presentations.

We are grateful to the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research (FFAR) and The Organic Center for supporting Cecilia’s work. The lab celebrated this milestone with a fun gathering that included potluck and games, complete with trophies for the winners. We look forward to Cecilia’s continued success as she begins her PhD studies.
